Course Name: Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction).

Course Outcomes: The course has been designed to provide training for those seeking to become professional driving instructors in Australia.
Qualification Level: Australian Qualifications Framework-Certificate IV Level.
Recognition given to course: Graduates of Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction) may apply to become a driving instructor.
Licensing/regulatory requirements: It is a regulatory requirement that Driver Trainers have completed a training program approved by most State Governments.
Course Duration: Nominal 340 hours. The course is provided as a combination of four 0ne day sessions and individual assessment for each unit spread over approximately three months, dependent on the progress of the individual trainee.
Course Fees: $4,000.00 (GST free). payable in two instalments of $2,000.00, the first instalment due 14 days prior to commencement and the second instalment at the completion of the course
Course Rules: Accreditation Standard 28.1d and 28.1g
Assessment Accreditation Standard 281.b: Assessment must be conducted in accordance with Standard 8.1 of the AQTF. All assessments should be valid, fair, reliable and flexible. Assessment methods include but are not restricted to:
practical application and demonstration of skills
oral questioning
role play
case study
project
written short answer
multiple choice item
Entry Requirements: Car Stream- Reference Book 1 for the respective State requirements from the Australian Transport Regulators National Training Standard for Driving Instructors.
Recognition of prior Learning: Recognition of prior learning (RPL) will be assessed on an individual basis.
